Landing technology

Planting a plant and caring for yellow raspberries are no different from growing raspberries. You can plant seedlings both in spring and autumn according to the following technology:

  • for raspberry cultivation, one should choose areas represented by loamy or sandy loam with a high humus content, sufficiently moist soil;
  • the site should be well protected from strong northerly winds;
  • it is advisable to choose a place where a significant amount of snow accumulates in the winter;
  • yellow raspberries can grow in partial shade, but under such conditions fruiting will be weak;
  • the soil should be prepared one and a half months before the autumn planting and in the fall - under the spring planting;
  • if necessary, soil liming is carried out with special compounds or ordinary wood ash;
  • the soil should be deeply digged, and it is also necessary to remove all weed vegetation and make the necessary nutritional complexes.

You can plant yellow raspberry bushes in rows or use the strip method of planting. Between the rows it is required to leave a distance of 1.5-2 meters, and in the row between the seedlings there should be a distance of about 50-60 cm.

Care Features

The traditional care for yellow raspberries necessarily includes a number of standard for growing berry crops, not too complicated events:

  • Raspberry plantings need rare but abundant watering, which improves the development of the root system of the plant and accelerates its growth into deeper layers of the soil;
  • in the last summer decade, raspberry should be watered only if the weather is very hot and dry for a long time;
  • it is undesirable to allow both overdrying and waterlogging of the soil - irrigation measures are carried out a couple of times a month;
  • feeding is recommended to be made three times during the period of active vegetation, which will provide the berry culture with the necessary nutrition;
  • it is best to feed yellow raspberry plantings with infusion of manure diluted with water in a ratio of 1: 10;

  • if the preparation of the site for berry seedlings was carried out correctly, then it is allowed to top-dress in the first three years only nitrogen-containing fertilizers;
  • it is strictly forbidden to fertilize raspberries with potassium chloride: it provokes weakening and planting diseases;
  • under winter, raspberries can be fed with potassium sulfide, the standard application rate does not exceed 25-30 g per square meter of berry plantation;
  • in the early spring, it is required to carry out preventive spraying of the berry shrub, aimed at protecting plantings from the most common plant parasites and pathogens of raspberries;
  • if necessary, additional treatments in the summer period are allowed;
  • in autumn, raspberry bushes need to be pruned.

How to plant raspberries

Proper and timely pruning of berry bushes contributes to the good fruiting of raspberries. In the autumn period, after picking berries, absolutely all the seedling shoots are pruned directly from the surface of the soil. Also, for a stable yield, it is important to correctly reproduce raspberries - an exceptionally healthy and high-quality planting material.
